Keltie Winters is currently the Family Law Client Liaison at the Edmonton Community Legal Centre and has been working in the not-for-profit sector for ten years. Keltie started her career with the Support Network working in crisis intervention on the Edmonton Distress Line and followed her passion for assisting individuals through conflict by completing a Master’s Degree in Conflict Resolution from the University of Ottawa. Keltie has been working in Family Violence Prevention since 2013 and is committed to feminist based practice, seeking ways to address the gender inequality that underlines family violence. Currently, Keltie works on a multidisciplinary team at the Edmonton Community Legal Centre, supporting family law clients with accessing community resources, and training staff on trauma informed practice. When not working, Keltie attends the University of Calgary working on completing her Masters in Social Work and hopes to eventually practice as a mental health therapist. Keltie is also well known for her love of dogs and chocolate.
