Membership

Any person who supports the objectives and the work of Compass Centre for Sexual Wellness and pays an annual fee may become a voting member of the organization. Compass Centre’s membership provides a collective voice in support of sexual and reproductive health and the pro-choice community.

One of the primary purposes of the membership is to elect a Board of Directors to entrust with the responsibility for governance of the organization. The membership will annually review the work of the organization through the Annual Report and Audited Financial Statements as presented at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Other benefits of membership include:

  • In-person voting privileges at the AGM and Special Meetings of the Membership
  • A reduced registration fee for workshops and events
  • Notifications about community events and special offers

  • We believe sexuality is a natural, healthy, and life long part of being human.
  • We believe that each individual has the right to make choices on sexual and reproductive health issues for themselves, within their own life circumstances.
  • We believe that individuals have the right to information and access to resources and services on sexuality and reproductive health without experiencing fear, shame or exploitation.
  • We believe all people, regardless of gender or sexual orientation, have rights that must be respected, and responsibilities that need to be exercised.
  • We respect diverse sexual attitudes and behaviors as long as they are based on responsibility, equality, non-violence, are within the law, and consensual.
